Bell Handling For complete beginners and to remedy handling faults. Includes explanations of a working bell, safety issues in the Tower and responsibilities to the band. One-to-one instruction.
Striking and Listening Essential for all to improve the ability to hear the bells and maintain an even rhythm. Sessions are based on open handstroke leads unless otherwise advised. Practical sessions to include leading and ringing rounds and changes with the simulator.
Plain Hunt For those who can control a bell fully and who wish to take the first steps in change ringing. Some theory but mostly practical sessions. To include development of listening skills, writing out changes and understanding basic ringing terms.
Ropesight To help you see where you are, who is in front and who behind. To include covering. For rounds ringers and upwards.
Plain Bob For those who can Plain Hunt on 5 bells. Mainly Doubles but Minor and above explained. Includes standard calls. Theory and practical sessions.
Grandsire For those who can Plain Hunt on five bells. Plain course and standard callings. Explanation of method on higher numbers. Theory and practical sessions.
Call Changes How to call them, what to call, how to put right and how to improve standards. For those who wish to improve their own skills and for those who wish to acquire them.
